Sleepycat Software has cooperated with the author of the Greybird project, Mark Hayes, to incorporate his work into the Berkeley DB distribution as part of its evolving Java API.

With the inclusion of the Greybird project, Java programmers need only have a good understanding of the Java Collections API to be able to manage the data that drives their business. The Java Collections API can now be thought of as a persistent, transactional, concurrent and scalable interface to your mission-critical data.
